What is NetVetted?
NetVetted is an independent review site covering consumer technology, including VPNs and security software. We explain what products do, what they cost and how they perform in everyday use.
Is NetVetted part of TotalAV?
No. NetVetted is an independent affiliate. We are not owned or operated by TotalAV or Total Security Limited. We earn a commission when you buy through our links.
Do I pay more if I buy through your link?
No. The price is set by the seller and is the same whether or not you use our link. In some cases our link gives access to an introductory offer.
Who processes my payment?
TotalAV does. When you click through to buy, you leave NetVetted and complete your order on TotalAV’s own website. We never see or store your card or billing details.
How does the subscription renew?
TotalAV subscriptions renew automatically at the regular price shown at checkout, unless you cancel before the renewal date. Introductory prices apply to the first billing period only. Always check the price and renewal terms on the checkout page before you pay.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
You can cancel at any time from your TotalAV online account. TotalAV offers a money-back guarantee, which is 30 days on annual plans and 14 days on monthly plans at the time of writing. Refunds are handled by TotalAV, so contact their support team at help.totalav.com.
What does a VPN actually do?
A VPN (virtual private network) encrypts the connection between your device and the VPN server and hides your IP address from the websites you visit. It helps protect your traffic on public Wi-Fi. A VPN does not make you anonymous, does not stop all tracking, and does not protect you from malware on its own.
Is using a VPN legal?
Using a VPN is legal in most countries, including the United States, Australia and Ecuador. Some countries restrict or ban VPNs. Using a VPN does not make illegal activity legal, and some streaming services restrict access through VPNs in their terms of use.
Which devices are supported?
TotalAV and Total VPN support Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. Check TotalAV’s website for current system requirements and the number of devices included in your plan.
